Drum Set Pedagogy: Proper Positioning

Proper positioning of the drum set contributes to the overall performance for beginning students, but also is an effective litmus test for all players. An often neglected, but critical element of drum set performance, set-up is something that experienced players can and should reevaluate on occasion.

In this video, veteran percussion educator Bob Breithaupt explores a natural approach to placing the instruments in an optimum position for each player.
